CSC's New Addition -
Acupuncture & Natural Medicine The Combat
Sports Center family continues to grow, and we would like to
tell you about Katie Lundberg. Katie is a doctor of
Naturopathic Medicine (N.D.) and a licensed acupuncturist
and herbalist. She studied Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine
(MSAOM) at Bastyr University in Seattle, Washington. In
addition to her training at Bastyr, Katie completed an
intensive program at Shuguang Hospital of Traditional
Chinese Medicine in Shanghai, China and recently completed a
two-year homeopathic course through the New England School
of Homeopathy.

Katie's education and training afford her the unique
opportunity to view both disease and health from Eastern and
Western perspectives. The focus of her practice is to help
individuals optimize their health and performance. Anyone
practicing martial arts has had at least one injury of which
to speak. Oftentimes this injury, be it a back strain or an
ankle sprain, is treated with painkillers and training
continues. This merely masks the symptoms, increasing the
likelihood for reinjury and comes with its own side effects.
Other common complaints are nagging injuries, fatigue and
other, more serious health-related problems. Acupuncture and
naturopathic medicine can play a significant role in this
correcting these problems, minimizing their symptoms and
even preventing them from returning. Using the combination
of herbs, acupuncture, homeopathy, diet and lifestyle
modifications proves unmatched in its effectiveness.
Acupuncture sessions are available by appointment on
Tuesdays and Thursdays between 10am-12pm and 5pm-7pm.
